How long will a Precision Tune-up take?

Depending on the condition of the system, a tune-up should take between 60 and 90 minutes.

How long will it take to inspect or diagnose a problem?

It often depends on the cause of the problem or the condition of the equipment, but the diagnosis will usually take no more than 30-60 minutes. Service Experts' technicians are NATE-certified and specifically trained to properly diagnose heating and cooling problems.

How much does a furnace or A/C tune-up cost?

We have a flat rate tune-up fee for a Precision tune-up, or if you prefer, you can join our easy PLUS^TM Maintenance program and get all your maintenance included. How much does a PLUS Agreement cost?

We have a flat rate PLUS Agreement fee for one standard heating and cooling system. The cost can be a savings of up to 50% off the cost of two tune-ups alone, depending on your location. How much is an inspection?

Like our Diagnosis Fee, we have a flat rate visual System Inspection fee. For System Inspection costs at each location, visit the Special Offers page of your location's web site or call us now. A System Inspection may also qualify your home for our comprehensive Platinum PLUS^TM Protection Plan, which provides FREE parts and repair service throughout the year.

How much will a repair cost?

It depends on what needs to be repaired. All our repairs are at a flat rate, which means you’ll be quoted a simple repair cost after a system diagnosis is complete. Only applicable taxes are added to flat rate repair cost.

What does a furnace tune-up include?

A furnace tune-up includes all the steps in our visual System Inspection, plus a thorough system cleaning and calibration, including cleaning of the burner, ignition, blower components and gas pressure adjustment if needed.

What does an A/C Tune-up include?

An air conditioning tune-up includes all the steps in our visual System Inspection, plus a thorough system cleaning and calibration, including; calibration of your thermostat, replacement of 1” disposable filters, system lubrication, condensate drain cleaning and condenser coil cleaning.

What is a Service Call fee (trip charge)?

Service Experts does not charge by the hour. Instead, we provide a diagnostic analysis of the problem at a flat rate. The Service Call fee is the cost to diagnose the problem and perform a complete visual System Inspetion. During the diagnosis a NATE-qualified technicians inspects and analyzes the entire comfort system step-by-step to determine the cause(s) of current and potential problems. After the analysis, the technician will review the findings with you and provide our professional recommendations, it is then up to you how you would like to proceed.

What is a PLUS Agreement?

A PLUS^TM Maintenance Agreement is our proactive heating and air conditioning equipment maintenance program. When you sign up we will pre-schedule all of your furnace and A/C tune-ups each year, and give you 15% off all future parts and repair services for as long as you like. There are also many other home comfort benefits, including a free lifetime thermostat warranty.

What steps does an inspection include?

Our visual System Inspection includes:

• An operational safety check; this ensures the system is operating as safely as originally designed
• A Home HealthTM Report Card; to examine the condition of the air inside the home
• A visual check of the heating and cooling equipment, duct work, air filtration and overall system operation

A System Inspection may also qualify your home for our comprehensive Platinum PLUS^TM Protection Plan, which provides FREE parts and repair service throughout the year.

Will I get a report of the repair/inspection?

Yes, we supply you with a completed System Inspection checklist and a Home Health^TM Report Card. Each one of these reports shows where your heating and air conditioning system or indoor air quality may need further attention. The System Inspection may also qualify your home for our comprehensive Platinum PLUS^TM Protection Plan, which provides FREE parts and repair service throughout the year.

Will you provide an energy analysis during my service?

Yes, at your request we can provide an energy savings analysis which will help you determine the utility savings a new home comfort system may provide. There is no cost for an energy analysis, simply ask your technician about how you can save more energy and money on your utility bills.
