Service Experts introduces new heating and cooling Service Plans to help homeowners lower energy bills and avoid unwanted costs

Release date: 9/1/2008

Service Experts Inc., a retail heating and cooling service company, today introduced new customer service and maintenance plans designed to help homeowners extend the life of their heating and air conditioning systems through regular tune-ups and inspections, while saving money and energy.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy and the Alliance to Save Energy, a well-maintained heating and cooling system will run more efficiently, use less energy, and lower energy bills, so they recommend homeowners arrange annual pre-season check-ups of both heating and cooling equipment.

To simplify the process for homeowners, Service Experts now offers new benefits as part of its popular PLUS™ Maintenance Agreement, which can range between $7 and $20 per month and includes service multiple visits each year, during which a NATE (North American Technician Excellence)-certified technician will conduct a 29-point performance inspection and Precision Tune-up of the home’s heating and cooling equipment to ensure the systems are running smoothly.  Each tune-up also includes the Service Experts Home Health™ Report Card, a simple, free in-home indoor air quality analysis.

In addition to regular inspections and maintenance, the Service Experts PLUS Maintenance Agreement also offers customers:

  • Flexible scheduling for tune-ups and priority service 24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • Same-day emergency service
  • 15 percent discount on repairs and products
  • 15 percent discount on new indoor air quality equipment
  • Standard filter replacement
  • Free biocide treatment to eliminate or reduce bacteria that can permeate the home
  • Thermostat warranty good for the life of the agreement
  • Customized payment programs
The new Service Experts Platinum PLUS™ Protection Plan goes even further and covers up to an additional $1,500 in parts and labor (system coverage) for any necessary repairs.  Both the PLUS and Platinum PLUS plans include enrollment in the Service Experts customer loyalty and rewards program, which offers additional member-only discounts should the heating and air conditioning system need to be completely replaced.

“Maintaining your home heating and cooling equipment is key to ensuring it will run safely and efficiently throughout the year,” said Dave Moody, Director of Field Marketing for Service Experts.  “Our new protection and maintenance plans will not only keep the system running as efficiently as possible, but also provide customers with peace of mind by protecting them from costly future repair bills and the hassle of having to find a reliable service technician at the last minute.”

In addition to the new service plans, Service Experts offers a 29-point Performance Inspection™ and a Precision Tune-up™ that includes the 29-point system inspection and a tune-up of key heating and cooling system parts.
