In October 2016, two Service Experts centers will be turning heads with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their service vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer.
Throughout the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be contributing 20% of all sales from their pink vans to the North Jersey Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be donating 5% of all sales from their pink vans and also donate $10 for every Precision tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.
This is the second year Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted two of their vans pink to raise money for this great cause. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, the general manager and one of his employees both lost their mothers to different forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.
“The National Cancer Institute reported that 107,184 women in New Jersey had breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider explained. “While the quantity of cases is actually going down each year, that still leaves a large number of families who are grappling with this disease, and therefore we have a serious need for research and support.”
Service Experts of Raleigh’s General Manager, Chris Overton, echoed Schneider’s sentiments. “According to the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the leading type of cancer in North Carolina – for men and women.”
