Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning proudly sends NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes in North America every day. While this notation of being Nate-Certified surely sounds reaffirming, what does it actually mean?
NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was created by and has been acknowledged by the entire HVACR industry for nearly 20 years. However, not all technicians in the field have to be NATE-Certified. The certification is discretionary and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment without being NATE-Certified.
It’s a priority for Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are sending the most experienced technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these standards, the NATE-Certification exams verify real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that evaluate the technician’s understanding of these guidelines.
Due to the fact that Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses primarily on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians attain their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may earn certification in any of these areas:
- Air Conditioning
- Air Distribution
- Gas Heating
- Oil Heating
- Heat Pumps
- Hydronic Gas (service only)
- Hydronics Oil (service only)
- Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
- Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
- Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
- Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst
