"A few days after my yearly A/C check (Maintenance+) I noticed a big water stain on my ceiling, directly below one of the attic units. I inspected the unit & saw the technician did not properly tighten the PVC locknut where the condensation leaves the unit. I can only assume he was blowing out the lines or inspecting them or something but regardless the improper tightening caused a leak and a ceiling stain Ill need to get repaired."

"The scheduled appointment was between 8-10. Technical didnt show up until 10:30. Inspected the problem and emailed me a repair estimate of $4,500 before explaining the problem. Them the service rep and a sales rep wanted to discuss. I explained that I couldnt because I was in the middle of a meeting, but questioned why Id pay a repair fee that was higher than one to replace it. They were polite enough, but changed us over $200 for a 20 minute call and I had another repair man fix the problem for $325. Very disappointed and felt deceived."

He also showed up later than promised to today's visit. He showed me photos of dirt in /on unit initially ,and gave me an estimate to include service plan and said he would clean unit when installing new motor, then said it was not needed when he returned( so was he lying the first time or did he leave me a dirty unit?) He seemed in a rush to leave. I am very disappointed."

The highest was more than I paid for my last car. Your membership fee proposal borders on insulting. I am not among those that would try to sell a house with an outstanding debt for equipment that is expected in a house; nor would I expect anyone to assume such a debt. Josh was a bit overzealous in his pursuit of a sale. All in all, I do not appreciate the sales pitch for an overpriced machine."

"I felt like the inspection was more a sales visit and a means to upsell. I was told the capacitor will breakdown this summer. When I asked the technician why is that so when the average life is 10-20 years, he basically laughed it off and was somewhat condescending. He also cranked the ac to about 63 degrees and did not change it back to where we had it. Not sure why he would do that. Also, didn't offer to replace the filters (we had at home) and just glanced and carried on. Overall I felt it was poor customer service and like I mentioned, simply an effort to do a sales call."

"Terrible. They were supposed to be here from 2 to 4. I called about 3 to see if someone in the office knew approximately what time they might be headed our way. She called and said they were in Naperville and the job was taking a bit longer, but they should be done in about half an hour and they would call me and let me know theyre on the way. No one called and we had to leave our home about 4:45. If they had called, one of us would have stayed home so we could let the technicians in. But since we had not heard anything and it was almost an hour later than the time they were supposed to show up, we left at 4:45. I received a phone call at 5 oclock to say that the technician was on the way. To be honest, I told Dave, the representative who called and who is very nice, that I was extremely disappointed and frankly really might consider never using Golden Seal again. I understand that perhaps they were delayed but they should have called and asked if it was still convenient for them to come well after the scheduled arrival time or reschedule. Really, your company should feel humiliated and embarrassed that we get a phone call an hour after technicians were supposed to be here to say that they were on the way. Another concern I have is that the first time I called to talk to a representative, it took about six minutes for someone to answer the phone. The next time I called to voice, my complaint that they had never showed up, I hung up after being on hold for 10 1/2 minutes. Clearly, your management needs to clean things up a bit."

I sat around all morning instead of playing golf waiting for Calverley to show up but got nothing. If I had known they were running late, that would have been fine; I understand. But they didn't have the courtesy to pick up the phone. Terrible way to run a business."
