Our whole-house A/C was replaced by SG&S about 7 years ago. The system works great. This was our first service call, and they came as soon as they could. The technician knew what he was doing and solved the problem within a half hour. From our first call to the office to the field, everyone was pleasant to deal with and knew their stuff. Oscar and the team did an amazing job removing our 35-year-old gas boiler and hot water heater and replacing it with a whole new system. Oscar and the team were professional, kind, and on time. He explained all the newness in the system—what everything was and how things got updated. We were shopping around 5 different companies in our area to replace our 23-year-old A/C unit. Out of all the 5 companies that I got estimates from, they also had great reviews, but their prices were ridiculous and service dates were out of the picture for the wait time. We decided to go with Stan Gelber & Sons Inc because they were the best estimate and honest up front without any hassle, and they came and did our installation within 1 week of our decision.

Extremely thorough and friendly
We had our annual AC maintenance today. The technician, Manish, was extremely thorough and friendly. We stand by Stanley Gelber through and through. Two summers ago our AC capacitor broke and needed to be replaced. At that time we had a two-month-old baby and they sent someone immediately.
Very Thorough Annual Inspection
Very thorough annual inspection. Very rare I have a problem with my AC in season. Gelber has been maintaining my AC for years.
Top-of-the-line equipment and install
I contracted with Stan Gelber and Sons (whom I have never dealt with before) to replace a 24-year-old York A/C unit that gave up the ghost at the end of last summer. I chose to go with a top-of-the-line Bosch heat pump. Jose Canas and the team arrived on time and worked methodically from start to finish with precision. I was there the whole time, asked a lot of questions, and got thoughtful, understandable answers. Everything tested out just fine. I paid for top-of-the-line equipment and install and I feel that is exactly what I got. Although everything (heating, cooling) tested out fine, the true test will come when the outside temperatures are in the 80s and 90s for cooling and teens and 20s for heating. When the heating and cooling aspects were tested yesterday (5/6/2025), it was approximately 60 degrees Fahrenheit outside. So, while everything looks good at this point, the true test is yet to come. The team was respectful of my property and cleaned up to my satisfaction before departing. I did not have to ask them to do that. I would recommend Stan Gelber and Sons to my friends and family.

It was pouring rain when Ruben came for my yearly tune-up. He and his assistant immediately put on disposable shoes before coming into my house. They were friendly, neat, and personal. Completed tune-up with no hitches. Deserve 5+ stars.
