Walter was most professional
I called Matz-Rightway as they are an authorized service rep for the central AC unit I had installed 8 years ago. The unit had a ten-year warranty which I was having trouble with the original installation company to call the manufacturer and start the warranty replacement of the failed parts. The technician, Walter L, assessed the situation, found out the parts I needed from the manufacturer were in stock, and placed an order for it. I was also sent a cost estimate to my phone in a few minutes. Walter was most professional in his assessment of the problem and dealing with the manufacturer. I was very pleased with his troubleshooting abilities and his customer service.
I Highly Recommend Matz-Rightway!
I found Matz-Rightway on a Google search and hired them to service my heating system. Michael Hegeman was the technician who performed the maintenance; he was professional, thorough, and highly efficient! I’m also using them for my ductless mini split system. I highly recommend Matz-Rightway!

Cheerful and professional service
Update: Had a technician come out yesterday for a routine "check-up." He identified some wear and tear and recommended that some parts be replaced. He was back today; repairs have already been made!
From 2024: Yesterday I discovered that my humidifier was leaking. I called Matz-Rightway's emergency number; a technician got back to me within minutes and guided me through turning off the humidifier (I'm the type of person who does not know how to do anything mechanical). He drove out from Riverhead in holiday traffic, diagnosed the problem, and while he was unable to do an immediate repair (a part needs to be ordered), he was very reassuring that it is fixable and that I will not have a problem as long as the unit is off. He was cheerful and professional as well as reassuring. Update: JP returned today to do the repair. He was scheduled for noon–2 PM; he called at 9:30 and said he could come earlier, which worked out better for me, did the repair quickly, and was generally cheerful, positive, and upbeat. A total pleasure!

They Went Above and Beyond
It was a pleasure working with Walter and Dylan from Matz-Rightway. They just finished a BIG job on my mobile home replacing the hot water heater, installing a water filtration system, and replaced all my galvanized piping that was rusted out. They were professional and courteous the entire time and explained everything to me. They went above and beyond to ensure the proper installation of the equipment. Highly recommend them!

Honest, No-Pressure HVAC Service
I recently had my 20-year-old central air conditioning system serviced for the very first time. Honestly, it never occurred to me to have it checked before—it’s been working reliably all these years. Geoffrey was assigned to the job, and he was fantastic from start to finish.
He called ahead and even asked for permission to arrive early, which I appreciated. Throughout the visit, he was respectful, thorough, and professional. I was concerned that I’d be told the system was shot and needed immediate replacement, but Geoffrey was refreshingly honest. He gave me a balanced assessment—explaining both the good and the bad.
For instance, he noted that the refrigerant was low but chose not to test the pressure, explaining that doing so could cause more to escape. He also checked the capacitor and found it was still well within spec, which surprised him given the system’s age. He pointed out a few other issues that suggest the system is nearing the end of its life, but he reassured me that it’s still safe to use, though it may struggle on extremely hot days.
There was no hard sell, no scare tactics—just straightforward information. Ironically, because of his honesty and professionalism, I now plan to include this company when I’m ready to replace the unit. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for honest, no-pressure HVAC service.
