Honest, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced
Roland J. Down came through for our family when we really needed it. Our thermostat lost power and the AC stopped working during a stretch of hot weather, and they got a technician out quickly. Clint diagnosed the real problem — a wiring issue behind the thermostat that wasn't obvious — and had it fixed and running again. On top of that, the price was extremely fair. This isn't the first time they've earned my trust: they've done excellent work at my own home too, and now they've taken great care of my mother's house. Honest, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced — exactly what you want in an HVAC company. Highly recommend.
Very professional, courteous, and accommodating
Recently had heating system upgraded by Roland J. Down. The reason we chose this company to do the work is because of the satisfactory work they did to our home in the past. The two techs, Brian and Ethan, were very professional, courteous, and accommodating. Their explanation of how the system operates, along with further details necessary to maintain the system, was exceptional. My dad always used this company, and I will continue to do so!!!
He Got It Done
My tech, Zhairon Welch, according to the reminder text I got, went the extra 10 miles to get the right thing done. I had a tankless water heater that was less than a year old and leaking. It was a past service issue that never was resolved. He got on the horn with his manager and with the manufacturer and got approval for a replacement. It was the right thing and he got it done.

I have been a customer for many years, and I've dealt with HVAC technicians from Roland J. Downs. These HVAC technicians pass the work order to other technicians. The reason: lack of experience or knowledge. Please reference the work orders with my name.
I had the pleasurable experience of two highly aggressive HVAC technicians from Roland J. Downs and Brad R. I know that James left the company and Brad R. is still there.
Brad R. is highly aggressive, he recommends on how to fix the problem, and it is up to the customer to go with the repair or not. On my oil boiler, many of the components were not working at 100%. Plus, he found other faults with different components of the oil boiler. He repaired them all. He also adjusted the efficiency from 83% to 85%, where others said, "83% is great." Total invoice: $2000, service call, labor, and parts. Please remember, you are also paying for his knowledge and skill. All services were covered by the Service Advantage Program, which covered everything.
Now, a very sad note.
Since Brad R. is the only HVAC technician who maintains my system, I've sent a number of letters to this company on Brad R.'s excellent performance and skill. I guessed the letters were mis-sent or FILE 13. I hope Brad R. receives praise from the company.
I also hope that this review is reviewed by staff members who care about the service technicians.

Antonio was top notch
We contacted the company and we actually had an appointment the same exact day. Our service technician Antonio Stella was very courteous and prompt. I brought him to the basement to check for gas leaks, which he was able to detect. I then brought him upstairs to the kitchen where he was also able to detect a gas leak behind our stove. He contacted customer service and was able to schedule maintenance for the three leaks to be fixed within the next two days. Thankfully these leaks are not too bad. They have been very kind and honest, and I would recommend them to anyone. Antonio was top notch and he was able to ease my 75-year-old mother's mind. This is the second company that has come to look at the issue and with the first we never heard back from. Thank you, Roland J. Down, for your excellent service.

Great Service from Knowledgeable Techs!
Great service from knowledgeable techs! When here to replace our AC system, the power went out before they arrived. They brought a generator with them so the job could be done as scheduled. Fortunately, the power came back just when they started, but what a comfort to know they were well prepared.

They installed a boiler for me a few years back and it had all sorts of issues with parts that were still under warranty. They stood by their service, coming out no less than five times to assess and fix issues at no additional cost to me. They were patient and provided good service for the value!

We had great service. Salesman Brian Silvia was wonderful, answered all our questions, probably asked way too many, but he answered them all. Quick to schedule an appointment for us, they were here within a week. Nick and Brian were friendly and professional, did a great job. They were here a couple of hours, old unit removed and new unit installed, job was done very well.

This installation gets five stars based on speed and professionalism alone. From initial contact to installation in four days, and everyone - from the office staff, to the technicians who made the initial visit, to the technicians who did the installation - was thorough, polite, and professional.
The confidence that provides as a homeowner is priceless - although technically we did sign a contract for the installation and there was obviously a price for that.

I have had my new furnace and AC installed by another company but keep Roland J down for maintenance as I trust them better. The technician was outstanding in his professionalism, manner, and work. Ven was great and very personable
Had a service call for a leaky hot water heater. Ven also found, besides the top leaks, there was a leak within the tank that was leaking on the bottom. Ven was great, but also very personable. Next day, Rick and Michael installed a new hot water heater. There were initially some problems, which they quickly resolved. They did a great job and explained everything well.
