Ed, a cheerful and astute plumber, arrived at our home when scheduled, assessed what needed to be done, left briefly to pick up a part that was needed, and had us back in good order pretty quickly. I had some leaking from my water and waste pipe, the toilet was running, and I needed a couple spigots repaired. Angel conducted my initial assessment; he was very knowledgeable and efficient. On the day of repair, he and Hector had everything fixed and running in a decent time. I will definitely be using their services again.

I have only used Roland J. Down Service for a short time but am very pleased. They recently replaced my AC unit without issue in a short amount of time. I had to work and they worked independently, and I came back to everything as I left it. They even secured my dogs' safety.

We couldn't be more satisfied
Great! During an annual exam, Ron and Jordan discovered a problematic leak within our 18-year-old condenser. Ron said they could either trace the leak or replace the system at a time of our choosing. Justin and Walter replaced the whole system in 4.5 hours! Everyone was on time, courteous, and knowledgeable. We were very impressed and couldn't be more satisfied with the work and the product.

Angel Lopez did an excellent job replacing two water shutoff valves. Also located the water pressure problem on my hot water line. I have always used RJ Down for my furnace and they have done several plumbing issues I've had. Great service and work that's reliable and complete.

Left me pleasantly satisfied that my appliances were in good working condition. I purchased a new filter for the furnace. Patrick Ravida did a thorough inspection of my electrical working. He too was pleasant and appeared most qualified.

Downs never disappoints, which is why I switched to them to care for my HVAC needs. Preventative Maintenance Contract
I have the preventative maintenance contract with R.J. Downs, and it is a good deal. They check in on a regular cycle so that I don't have to remember, and the servicepersons always explain their work clearly and in detail.
Honest, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced
Roland J. Down came through for our family when we really needed it. Our thermostat lost power and the AC stopped working during a stretch of hot weather, and they got a technician out quickly. Clint diagnosed the real problem — a wiring issue behind the thermostat that wasn't obvious — and had it fixed and running again. On top of that, the price was extremely fair. This isn't the first time they've earned my trust: they've done excellent work at my own home too, and now they've taken great care of my mother's house. Honest, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced — exactly what you want in an HVAC company. Highly recommend.

Recently had heating system upgraded by Roland J. Down. The reason we chose this company to do the work is because of the satisfactory work they did to our home in the past. The two techs, Brian and Ethan, were very professional, courteous, and accommodating. Their explanation of how the system operates, along with further details necessary to maintain the system, was exceptional. My dad always used this company, and I will continue to do so!!!
He Got It Done
My tech, Zhairon Welch, according to the reminder text I got, went the extra 10 miles to get the right thing done. I had a tankless water heater that was less than a year old and leaking. It was a past service issue that never was resolved. He got on the horn with his manager and with the manufacturer and got approval for a replacement. It was the right thing and he got it done.

I have been a customer for many years, and I've dealt with HVAC technicians from Roland J. Downs. These HVAC technicians pass the work order to other technicians. The reason: lack of experience or knowledge. Please reference the work orders with my name.
I had the pleasurable experience of two highly aggressive HVAC technicians from Roland J. Downs and Brad R. I know that James left the company and Brad R. is still there.
Brad R. is highly aggressive, he recommends on how to fix the problem, and it is up to the customer to go with the repair or not. On my oil boiler, many of the components were not working at 100%. Plus, he found other faults with different components of the oil boiler. He repaired them all. He also adjusted the efficiency from 83% to 85%, where others said, "83% is great." Total invoice: $2000, service call, labor, and parts. Please remember, you are also paying for his knowledge and skill. All services were covered by the Service Advantage Program, which covered everything.
Now, a very sad note.
Since Brad R. is the only HVAC technician who maintains my system, I've sent a number of letters to this company on Brad R.'s excellent performance and skill. I guessed the letters were mis-sent or FILE 13. I hope Brad R. receives praise from the company.
I also hope that this review is reviewed by staff members who care about the service technicians.
