Ray Neal of CroppMetcalfe provided terrific service in all respects: clearly a “star” technician in all respects; a great communicator even about especially complicated problems in our 100-year-old house; mindful and polite to our house cleaner; very, very careful not to let our cats out, etc.; fixed our short-term problem very quickly. Professional, honest, and straightforward
Our furnace stopped working on New Year’s Eve morning, and we were told by multiple companies that no service techs were available until New Year’s Day afternoon. We made it through a very cold night with space heaters and low expectations.
Then CroppMetcalfe surprised us. They called around 9:00 AM on New Year’s Day and offered to send a technician within 30 minutes. The tech arrived promptly, diagnosed the issue quickly (a loose wire), fixed it on the spot, and that was it. No upsell. No pressure. No scare tactics.
We even had an extra filter on hand, and he kindly replaced it for us. We paid only the service call fee — nothing more.
Professional, honest, and refreshingly straightforward. When your heat goes out on a holiday, that kind of integrity matters. I’m very pleased and would absolutely call them again.
Friendly and Helpful Service
David was friendly and helpful and answered my questions. He also took time to greet our dog, which helped him stop barking. He seemed to do a thorough job servicing the furnace. I asked about the bill and he said there wasn't one, but then a day or so later I got a charge for the annual fee and no invoice. I don't think this is David's fault but was surprised.

The Cropp Metcalfe Service Tech, Milan Tasic, developed a plan of repair and made clear the next steps to completely repair the Saniflo 3 macerator pump! Most companies would automatically skip trying to repair the macerator pump. Milan Tasic of Cropp Metcalfe’s plan went above and beyond to see if he could salvage the only 3-year-old pump. Highly recommend!
